In this project, I photograph the streets and architecture of New York City, capturing its iconic structures alongside the people and animals who inhabit its spaces. Through this lens, I seek to explore the subtle dialogue between the city's physical form and its living occupants. Polaroid emulsion lifts my images from their surfaces, allowing each frame to live as a textured, almost tactile object. This process emphasizes life's fleeting, ethereal nature in a city that is constantly shifting yet strangely stable in its foundations. The emulsions add an analog quality to the digital images, lending an impressionistic layer to the nostalgic and intimate photographs.
